Now the democratic party uses both terms, although Deep State seemingly is used conservatively, towards conservatives The establishment republicans has been widely used of late when referring to them as it seems they back Trump more and more today now. However, I would argue this isn't just a US issue. It's a world global issue. All one needs to do is follow the history of capitalism from Europe to China. Although China is managing to survive its long term outcome by investing in their society, eventually as Europe and here, it will eat itself and the citizenry, eradicating the middle class. Chris Hedges has done some great interviews of this systems collapse. China is already paying a heavy price via pollution. Capitalism mixed with neoliberalism brings forth fascism. Ask Europe how that works! You probably aren't hearing of the many protest going on in Europe from the MSM and the changes the governments are attempting to do over there. Whether you realize it or not, we are beginning to get our first taste of it now with the move to allow Trump in. They are testing the waters here, and so far it's winning over his supporters. The Establishment, both sides, and the Deep State are licking their chops! I said it before Trump was elected that the show the republicans were putting on of their discontent for him was fake. I was right! But don't dare think your millionaire and billionaire Establishment democrats aren't licking their chops either! They bought into the same stocks before Iraq the republicans did to make more millions knowing that war was based on a lie. They smiled on their way to the bank the same as the republicans did.
