'It's Not Just One District': Ocasio-Cortez Pushes Back Against Nancy Pelosi's Dismissal of Progressive Wave
I spoke on this yesterday in another post about the greens being partially responsible for this upset. O wait, it's not an upset by some of the responses from some pundits. It's a god dam upset. They poured millions into his campaign, 18 to 1 over her estimated 600k. But Pelosi is partially correct. As far as national and state elections the progressives that actually lean further left aren't as extended as they are in local races. That to me raises big questions! Why is it that local races are turning up a larger percentage of wins over state and national races? These people aren't voting in the state and national elections? Or are they out numbered? People often don't follow the local election candidates as well as they do state and national, often leaving those slots blank. Mostly due to poor coverage, you have to actually get on line and work to find any real information on the candidates. Hunting them down using a search engine, facehack, wikipedia. So it's a good sign more people are doing this? And those not, are holding back those of us fighting for change!?! This is where Pelosi's comments become a matter of managed perception for the sheep. So, in other words, what she really means is. Don't worry, it's just a small glitch. We will not allow socialism to take over our party, our society. Greens have won a considerably decent number of local races this year so far compared to past years. Keep it going! but you have to do the work! Check your locality board of elections website well before the elections and find the candidates. Use a search engine then cross check with facehack and wikipedia. Find your local green party website, Democratic Socialists of America candidates for your local, state and national elections. Get to know them! Add them to your facebook page to keep up also throughout the year! Do a search on them. In a lot of cases those candidates that are well know that you find on wikipedia will give you some of the good and bad of those people. You can tie them into corporate cronyism, shady actions they may have been involved in, etc. This is, however slow, working from the bottom up. We need to put a fire under it!
