What is a “Zombie”?
A zombie is a mindless, thoughtless creature controlled by a voodoo priest or priestess from afar using magic spells and incantations.
I think we’re already in the zombie apocalypse.

I might argue that is a zombie. With only the instinct to kill for blood which turns the victim. Quite a self centered existence that ends with an empty killing field leaving only their own. Now eat your own? Yet the insect uses other insects to survive in which the chain can replenish. Some morph into a different species. Their only fear is our existence. With money, power, and greed they get your blood, and your instinct becomes slavery. Injected by a system of managed perception via the media, you turn into a willing carrier. You eat your own, children, spreading the virus.
