A Socialist Response to Trump’s Council of Economic Advisers’ Report

[truthout.org]

Yea, I don't know. The writer may have a point in stating a lack of understanding, however, I might argue it's more geared towards deliberate perception management. If/when the MSM and the far right geared sites on social media present this report to their followers, we all know what their reaction is going to be. It will be a response based on the same ignorant rhetoric they've been brainwashed on. Much like the writer has accused those of who produced the report. I think it might be fair to say these people know the differences in the working of these 2 economical systems? My son was raised and lived in a rural area most of his life. Very right wing leaning. In discussions on capitalism and the free market with him and post on facehack, I could never get him or his friends to explain how a free market they always claim is working while monopolies are constantly forming taking out small businesses. Whether through copying their product or buying them out, legitimately or by force. Which almost always leads to down sizing and the cost of jobs to an area. Yet they refuse to use that fact to consider a redevelopment of opinion. The most annoying aspect is when you introduce the means of welfare via government subsidies to multi million and billion dollar profiting industries as a socialist injustice to society to them. This shit just doesn't resonate to them! So you know these people have relatively no knowledge, if any, of the ideology of means of production from Marx to compare to their managed perception.

When they talk about a free market, they're either completely ignorant or willfully ignorant of there not really being a free market. It's amazing how much they are against something unless it benefits them though, right? Lol

What integrity!

I'm just now reading through the report. Quite a disturbing writing already as I go into page 3 on Venezuela! Pure empire rhetoric that the main stream media feeds their masses of followers! Disgusting!

Well I was a fan of Hugo Chavez
