PG&E’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing: Corporate executives again to get away with murder

[wsws.org]

(It’s likely that, if the bankruptcy proceedings go through, the current company will emerge as a newly restructured holding company, shifting the burden of its debt and liability payments on to the working class—in the form of higher energy costs and corporate “restructuring” that will result in cuts to jobs, wages and benefits.)

As you read on you'll find 4 high ranking people leaving the company involved in crimes, 2 of which were in control during the fires, are walking away with roughly 53 million dollars between them. These 4 people and the company as a whole are being protected by both democratic and republican politicians! 3 of these people were involved in an accident that took 8 lives also destroying a neighborhood. They walked away with the bulk of that money. We have a government in which corporations get paid well for doing wrong and causing death.

Bhopal and many others all over again.
Over here 20,000 seniors had to apply for public pensions because a property trust supposedly monitored and under the auspices a State Public Trustee who should have immediately foreclosed on breach of the trust deed but didn't. The State Public Trustee is a quasi-government
profit making protector of people's assets. That little escapade has cost the taxpayer about $A4 billion over the last ten years. And the bastards who ran the scam have never been charged but still trading.

Naturally government and press have been very quiet on publishing the issue. It is believed that it isnt the only one to have done this.
