They got him for lying about it and 70 million was billed to American tax payers. Now that was a sad media spectacle.
As to investigating Russian meddling, intell says they did. GET the fuck over it. If it was radically, fundamentally and deliberately wrong then why did so many lie? Why were many indicted and now doing jail time? There apparently was no direct link between trump and influencing of the election but 33 were indicted and some are doing jail time.
