Gravel Declares Presidential Bid to Highlight Anti-Interventionism and Direct Democracy

[consortiumnews.com]

The former U.S. senator, 89, who read the Pentagon Papers into the Congressional record, and ran for president in 2008, says he’s not entering to win but to inject crucial issues into Democratic primary debates.

Every soldier that has died since Afghanistan has also died in vain! Over god dam lies! The day Bush pulled the troops out of Tora Bora, the next day they should have been packing up to come home!!! The commons are pawns for the military and politicians today, sacrificed for their corporate and elite hoard. This guy provides me the only reason to watch the debates as of now. Watch the video at the end of the article. And watch as all the corporate whores laughing at him. You can bet your sweet ass I'll send him a dollar to see this!!!

Turn up the heat Mike!

I'm not familiar with requirements to make the debates. A lot has been on the internet about how Tulsi Gabbard needs like 1,500 more donations for a total of like 65,000 to make the debate stage. Is that true of all candidates?

If I understand it right, it's something the DNC just pulled off.

(But the Democratic Party has this year changed the rules for gaining entry to the 12 scheduled debates, the first of which will be on June 26 in Miami. Candidates must garner donations from at least 65,000 individuals. And there must be contributions from a minimum of 200 different donors in at least 20 states.)

Hence Gravel's request. He doesn't want to win, he just wants to get into the debates to confront the corporate smucks. If you watch the last video at the bottom of the article, it states, all you have to do is send him a dollar. It's a donation, it counts towards the 65,000 It's actually a pretty good video also.
