If this is true it is ecocide. The Australian Great Artesan basin water is 2000 years old.

I do not understand. What is is this box? Does it really contain Cs 137? Where does it come from? Where is it now? Could it be dumped into a ground water basin? Could it be used to make fission material?

It was reported as being part of the supplies sent to a Halliburton/Santos fracking plant in Northern Australia to be pumped into the earth to frack it. The Great Artesian Basin will become contaminated by these chemicals. Water there takes 2000 years to replenish. The radio active chemical probably has a half life far in excess of that.

@FrayedBear That is totally insane!

@rogerbenham That is also true but look at the wanton damage occurring around the world not only from fracking but indiscriminate bombing. Not only is America doomed but they want to take everyone else with them.

@FrayedBear Gotta make sure we get the second coming this time. We can't have a repeat of the 1844 Great Disappointment. We will force Jesus to quit sitting beside god and the holy spirit and coming roaring down probably with all the Valkyrries (might as well include Brunhilda and why not throw in Thor as well, maybe even Odin as the bikers like him) and cast all the sinners (well the righteous and the holy know who they are) into the fires of eternal damnation. Why exactly one gets eternal punishment rather than a good sound thrashing like I had several times at school, is anyone's guess. Besides which Trumpy has failed at everything in his life so why not go out with a nuclear mushroom cloud?

@rogerbenham
As we are all supposedly going to hell we may as well take MacNamara's Tour -

[warrenfahey.com.au]

[abc.net.au]

Warren's done something strange with his voice. I didnt listen to the ABC version. Les Murray considers the poem to be the birth of Australian (English spoken) literature. I have never seen it included in any university or school text book!

@FrayedBear OK I read it right through thinking I'd find it easier than an Aussie accent.

So was Abbot a good guy? I see he is do fireman's work.

@rogerbenham Abbot as in ex right wing leader of the Liberal party? A much despised man aka "the priest" and "the budgie smuggler" owing to his once training for catholic priesthood and proclivity for training with the local lifesavers in a tight fitting speedo swim trunks revealing his "budgie".
Either my ears have become immune to the accent or Warren affects a peculiar mid Pacific accent instead of his very broad Australian frequently used by him. Perhaps he is suffering these days from an excess of Australian cringe. I was disappointed because the convicts tour imo should be performed with a strong Irish accent for the role of Frank the Poet.

@rogerbenham Tony Abbott

@FrayedBear Could be wearing a box!

@FrayedBear here in Ohio they have started using fracking waste water in our deicing trucks to spread on the highways during winter. Telling us the levels of radiation are safe. While our cars get ate up with rust if you don't constantly keep it washed off of them. Please do tell, how are we suppose to wash this crap out of ourselves!?!

@William_Mary Weekly blood transfusions might help. I guess they have no idea where ground water originates. Your countryside is going to become totally toxic.

@William_Mary that is dreadful. Your vehicles will possibly glow in the dark.

@William_Mary Criminals. Mind you weren't Americans the ones to start getting rid of fluoride from aluminium smelting by putting it in everyone's water and toothpaste?

@FrayedBear Really? That is what I've spent most of my life escaping. Water from deep under chalk, Creek water straight from a mountain, creek water straight from a forest, lake water high in the hills and now a 60 foot deep well drawing from below 20 foot of clay. Expensive non standard toothpastes. No dentist, I do not need fluoride treatment.

@rogerbenham For 30 years I lived in an area that did not add fluoride to the drinking water. Then a fat ignorant mayor illegally used his vote to have it added.

@FrayedBear Did it help his wasteline?

@rogerbenham No, the citizens were too stupid to run him out of town.

@FrayedBear A common affliction.
