I love tofu scramble. I like mine with veggies. Sometimes I use firm tofu, sometimes soft tofu, which turns out more like egg white scramble. I don’t like my vegan dishes to taste like “the real thing” so I’m happy they taste like what they really are.
Yes! I think comparing it to non vegan food makes it harder for people to change
@ArdentAtheist I think the more experienced you are as a vegan the more you venture away from wanting your food to look like and taste like your food before becoming vegan. My fridge and pantry look nothing like it was all those years ago. I would never have stocked stuff like chia, flax meal, hemp seeds, quinoa, nutritional yeast, raw cashews, etc. as a non-vegan. All the creativity one gets to experience as a vegan is amazing. The key is to make dishes that taste delicious on their own not to recreate an exact version of non-vegan dishes per se.
@graceylou I believe you are 100% correct.
You use a lot of turmeric, how much did you use in this dish? I use it but not that often. I know it has positive health benefits, maybe I should be using it more.
About a teaspoon and equal part black pepper ... Tumerick is an anti-inflammatory and black pepper increases its efficacy I’m told I thousandfold.
@ArdentAtheist, ok I knew about turmeric being an anti-inflammatory but I didn't know that about pepper. Cool, learning a lot today. Love it! Thanks AA!
That looks beautiful!
That's food porn and it's not fair
I want that meal.
Ok, peaked at your profile for geographic reasons... you can do this for way cheaper than the flight to have me cook it ...and thank you, I don’t normally get compliments that include the word, porn
Thank you.
I'm slowly learning. I bought some veganaise yesterday. It's not bad. I'm going to look until tofu as well.
@iamjc Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, LOL ... And as far as medicinal alcohol is concerned I would just like to point out that scotch is vegan cheers ?
