Diogenes replies on Oct 12, 2018:
@silverotter11 I haven't been checking the exact number of years. I believe that Mark Twain lost a lot of money in one in the late 1800s. Yesterday, reporting from Wednesday, on the front page of the Financial Post was a big red title, "Bleeding", about the 'all' markets being down; they were down again Thursday. Don't know what the papers said for the first shock on September 24, 1929. I imagine it was rather casual 'reporting'- because the reality was still not realized.

But it is again costing more to fix the problems that the Orange Thing has made. From what I have read, in 1929 Herbert Hoover inherited problems, that he had not had a great part in creating. He did not favour all the stock that was being bought on margin. Trump is doing a 'fantastic' job of creating misery that this world will not soon forget.

Diogenes replies on Oct 10, 2018:
I don't think "age" has much to do with it. Yes, being robbed of life at an early age is a trauma- let's not dismiss that thought, but to be a hundred and being the slave to stupidity and greed is, in my opinion, a non-accomplishment. Would there be any difference if the person could live to be 200? Some have lived short lives and accomplished more than the magority of the population.

Another Freudian slip...these people cannot hide who they really are!!! NOT even when they send in Melania’s double!!! Melania just shows up to model the clothes (thus golden showers, shows how dumb she is, too)...might as well give trump a manikin on his arm, he does not recognize a real person ...

Well, I try! There is a reality to deal with. Some people feel that their most valuable possession is their house or car. They regularly get their car serviced; and they treat their mind and body as if it is trash.
