To continue the species? To enjoy the pleasure of raising a family? To have the depth of feeling only a child of yours can engender?
Gatovicolo replies on Dec 24, 2017:
What a negative reply. And I thought I was the cynic. Population control is in order, but things are hardly so black that were all going to disappear on Monday. Also, the planet has a tendency to take care of itself. If we become too much of a threat we’ll be disposed of. It’s not so much that we’re a threat to the planet as the planet is a threat to us. We’ll be gone long before the planet is.
Islamic Objections to the Trinity
Skyfacer comments on Dec 24, 2017:
Islam , especially the fundamentalistic version objects to a lot of things that are a part of the modern world we live in. They can object all they like and then piss off back to the desert tribal life style their religion came from.
Gatovicolo replies on Dec 24, 2017:
I understand, but Islamic Objections are are reasonable objections to the conception of the Trinity. It doesn’t matter whether they happen to be from another religion. If you’re analyzing the conceptual framework of a set of ideas, Christianity, then alternative piints of view are a reasonable source.

Rideauxb comments on Dec 10, 2017:
Kicking out a rude customer is not discriminatory. If you kicked out the woman because she was Jewish, then you’d have an issue. Just like this gay couple...they weren’t doing anything wrong by wanting to buy a cake, the business is open to the public, but the shop owner can not discriminate ...

I understand that you feel the right not to serve who you please, but that doesn’t mean you get the right to discriminate against a class of persons.

Gatovicolo comments on Dec 10, 2017:
If you own a public business, and you discriminate about whom you chose to serve, then should you be in business? We’re not talking about rude people. This is tantamount to refusing to serve African Americans, Phillipinos, American Indians, Mexicans.... Would you refuse to serve them? It’s ...

Gatovicolo comments on Nov 22, 2017:
Ultimately it doesn’t. It changes nothing. Existence is without meaning. Accept it and move on to important matters: family, love and the pursuit of truth.

Nihilistic? Not really. Existentialistic, yes. As for the pursuit of truth, physics is not it. Math and logic are the only truth.
