There's a rumour doing the rounds here in the UK that the queen died early on Sunday morning, but the news has been embargoed until some time on Monday.
Keep an eye on the news channels and sites tomorrow - it's not every day something like that happens! (And be thankful if you don't live in the UK, because we're probably going to have nothing else on TV and the radio for about a month if it's true!)
The military drill that sparked WhatsApp rumours of Queen's death
Does that rumor happen periodically with her age? Or does it have more teeth than that?
Oh it began on Twitter: [townandcountrymag.com]
The only reason they fascinate me is because of their scandalous history. And so it continues with Andrew's romper room. No 1st Amendment in the UK so the BBC owned by the government will squash any news until they want the public to know. It is not on a public fairway.
The Queen is more popular in her devoted colonies than in Britain -- including New Zealand, so I'm picking at least 6 weeks to 2 months of official mourning here, then more mourning for Charles sitting on the throne (most of all, I hope they don't skip him to award it to Andrew -- would be a great weapon of class revenge and would say it all about inborn privilege, sufficient to rival Trump's).
Ok Boomer.
If it's true the British will probably be glad to get away from all the political stuff they have had to endure.
As will One
But then they'd say the same if it was true so who knows. I remember for a few hours after Diana died the tv reports were saying she just had a broken arm or something.
NOT a rumor :
That was the queen's mother, who died in 2002.
@Jnei Right, I jumped-the-gun
@FearlessFly Fair play; we've all done it
Just the Queen Mum.
