Now I see getting to level 8 ain't very hard, I almost gave up at level 1

I see very few posts from others and I'm wondering if people stop posting when they reach a certain level or I can't see some posts when at level 3

@Cocoavine Find a few people, follow them, they will lead you through the site. If you like a group, join it, you can always unjoin. Like and respond to posts and replies, the points add up fast. If you look at my profile I belong to a ton of groups, you get notified of the posts in your groups, so if you aren't a member of many groups, you won't have much in your feed.

I already feel like they're good people here. Almost getting to level 4

I joined 2 days ago and i feel like it's too much work to move to the next level

@Cocoavine Don't worry about the work! Just have fun getting to know us! React and comment on the different posts, that helps get points. When you level up you're able to join more groups.

@Cocoavine you get credit for replying, posting, liking...if you are going to be heard and express yourself, what difference does it make?
The only way to avoid this "work" is to go away and do nothing. Period.

@michelle666gar Yeah I made it to level 8 in less than 2 years remember?....

@Lizard_of_Ahaz I don't remember. I remember my first time it took me two years to get to level 8 and another two years to get to level 9! This time around it took me less than a year to get to level 8!!

@michelle666gar Because you already had a following.... I joined in March of 2019 and slowed the pace after reaching level 8 but I am at level 9.2 now and before the end of the year even with the construction projects and other things I do should reach level 9.3 which is 440,000 points

@Lizard_of_Ahaz I was already a level 9 on my old account! Then the site crashed and when it came back I couldn't get back in with my original account and had to make a new one.

@michelle666gar It didn't crash the owner just didn't renew the security certificates and unless you give the site special permissions when that happens you can't log in.

@Lizard_of_Ahaz That's right! The security certificate expired. Well I'm back, been back about a year ago.

@Lizard_of_Ahaz @glennlab @Betty @zeuser Thanks to everyone who helped me get back to level 8, I know I missed more people but I'm on my extra day off and my brain is turned off until tomorrow morning

@michelle666gar You should still be able to get into your old account if you can remember your login credentials.

@Lizard_of_Ahaz I try and I can't, I have my old password and username and I can't get in. I push on the button to send me an email to prove it's me and I get nothing.

@michelle666gar Yeah he never set the account recovery option but I am still using my original account and had no problem logging in. I don't see how so many people ended up losing their accounts.

I joined in June and had my shirt and pen by September for level 8, 9 and 10 took a shit ton longer.

@Lizard_of_Ahaz Yeah I was one of them! I think it's because I got a new phone and new service at the time the security certificate was renewed so I was probably unrecognized.

@glennlab I joined in January of 2018 and I was level 9 by early 2020 and was lucky to get my shirt and pen

@Lizard_of_Ahaz I think I had just had surgery, so no running around for awhile. These were taken the night I got the shirt. The beard came off as soon as I got healed. I had way too much blood in my alcohol system for a few months.

@michelle666gar I am awake 18 to 20 hours a day most of the time. Some days I don't get any sleep at all.

@michelle666gar, @Lizard_of_Ahaz it wouldd not recognize me and let me in, it would offer the box that said they would email an link and I tried daily or more for I think almost 2 weeks, never got anything, so I had to create a new email addy and start all over or forever be exiled, Twice within about 5-ish months.

@michelle666gar, @Betty, @annewimsey500 It happened often enough that we were able to marshal the people together to get people back to a level where they could join all the groups.

@michelle666gar I've added the equivalent of reaching past level 8 since i reached 10 mostly by helping people, it's fun and I have 25,000+ memes in the bank to use

Wow, 2 years is quite a journey!

@Cocoavine Yes, but back then I wasn't on here as much, I met a guy from this site and we had a relationship and instead of being on the site him and I would be on the phone with each other. Some people moved up pretty fast, you just have to be on here and participate.
