Finished retrofitting a closet into a new home for Rita! She loves it. Very easy now for her to get in and out - mostly out. She's our sandpaper kitty :)

One of the neat things about living in a smaller community is that the local paper is often looking for private photograph submissions to publish. They printed my stinkbug picture today. :)

My favorite North American spider, the black and yellow argiope (Argiope aurantia). Somewhere on my SD card is a neat picture of her unique web.

Monarch enjoying my favorite Phlox. This particular species or cultivar has small flowers in dense, compact heads and is irresistible to a great many butterflies large and small. Skippers and Swallowtail enjoy it most, as does the Monarch :)

Seven years ago we had an irruption of buckeyes. I've only seen one since then. They're one of my favorite North American butterflies.
