I went fishing on the Salmon River in Pulaski, NY. I didn't have any success with the salmon run (it was a bit early), but I was delighted to see a giant swallowtail nectaring along the river. That was a real surprise, so far north.

This horse just walked over the dune and later down for the rest of the day . We called Park service and they watched him the next day and he finally got up and walked off . They said he was pretty old the hot sand probably felt good .

According to local folk lore, wooly bears can predict how harsh a winter will be by how much of their bodies are black. If that's true it's going to be a rough winter. 😁😁😁😁
