Her name again?
Mimi, for the sound she made when she first climbed our screen.
There are some we connect with that is special. The stand outs. There are some that just fall into our lives & shine brighter than the others. I had the same experience with Zoot Suit. My tuxedo cat. When one has had tens of cats over ones life span, there are those that are inexplicable.
I've had many. Those that I consider 'mine', & those of my family's. Mostly feline, but a number of 'canine', too. I have enough room in my heart for all, tho the shortness of their lives does hurt.
This one is my current 'baby', tho she carries a chunk of 'wild' w/ her. I can & will deal with it as she is at heart such a darling.
I picked her up from the backyard (actually, climbing our screen door!), told her that if she came in, she would be an indoor kitty. She tolerates me most times, but she is my darling & I always let her know that!

Posted by LaurenI thought this was an accurate representation of how we feel every time we remember our last cat, which happens often when my daughter and I laugh over our current cat's antics.
