I went with my daughter yesterday when we euthanized Zorro. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. After $2000 in vet bills, no one knew why he’s been sick for 3 months. Last guess was Corona. The vet at the Palm Springs animal shelter was so compassionate. Zorro crossed the atheist rainbow bridge
It is so hard to say goodbye to our babies.
So sorry for your loss. I cried a few tears remembering having to do the same to my beloved Lola in 2019. I don’t think I will ever get over it.
I'm so very sorry! You did the right thing, though.... I know how much it hurts.
Our cat Jango had problems breathing which only got worse over time. We are sure it wasn't Covid as at the end the vet found a growth near his airway. We were sad after we had to put him down.
Eventually, we got Whiskers to help fill the spot he left.
Daughter still has his 2 brothers, failed fosters
I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts have been heavy on the anniversary of euthanizing my cat, so I sympathize with how deeply Zorro will be in your heart for a long, long time. But I hope the memories of his good, healthy years will give you some comfort.
Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
