Mneme (look up the three classical Muses in Greek Mythology to see the origin of her name). Adopted as a sickly ferrel kitten. She just turned 10, and was a companion of Zeus's for the seven years they were together. She actually has learned some commands, almost as many as my pup!
People do not realise that they can be so trained. I have done it many times. At a cat show I saw a trainer who had 6 cats who obeyed all of his commands as a dog would. Favorite food is the ket. Shrimp is always a good choice but only for training.
@Countrywoman off topic, but a side note on your post. Mneme has curious tastes. I have opened a can of tuna, what I thought was crack cocaine for cats, and she turns away, would rather eat the saltine cracker next to it.
First two are Miss Millie, my heart cat who passed about 2 yeas ago. Then Spooky who passed in 1999. Then Cocoa my first heart cat that I grew up with. then Nala who I had for a bit but now lives with my youngest daughter, and is quite old now.
Amazing!! The geode, I mean.
