My cats sometimes get interested in what is on TV, not too often though.

My cats occasionally do that too. What surprised me was that my older cat went up to the TV and started batting at what he perceived to be a string. I was watching a video of a flight crew landing at some airport. The pilot had the wire to his headset going behind him. My cat was trying to play with that. It was funny and cute.
