I can't be sure how many cats are in that picture. At least two, I think, but if you told me three I don't think I could disprove you. They look so comfy!!

Two. About 15 pounds each. I can no longer pick up the basket. 
Just think about it... if your were that size, wouldn't a nice warm soft laundry basket be a nice place for a nap?
