It’s why I prefer cat people!

I have had cats for almost my whole life. It has pleased all of them to let me know how they wish to relate to me. All of them had different personalities. Some came at call, others came when it pleased them. One was supremely self-confident around all other cats, specially cats unknown to her (which severely unnerved all the stranger cats). Some accepted being purred at as social contact, others preferred being physically stroked. One likes to sit on my shoulders when it is cold. Another liked to sleep between the bed sheets at night.

This has been a long held belief of mine. Cat peeps are not interested in controlling. Dog people seem to need a more controllable pet.

I have both right now.
