The cats abandoned me. I took a five day trip to ocean City on the Olympic Peninsula (WA), and when I came back the cats no longer got in my lap, or slept with me at night. They have gravitated over to my sister and nephew... then again the cats do...

Our cats partied last night with new toys, a box of socks and, apparently, the linen closet. Proof? This morning, as I walked down the hall in the dark, I suddenly found a shoulder pad velcroed to my slipper socks. Sigh. I love my cat, I do.
