This has been coming from the radical right wing for years. Every time Democrats compromised on some nasty legislation just to get it passed, the fascists moved the bar further right. Republicans have gained power by characterizing Democrats as communist and socialists and using lies and fear tactics.

When I was young, I considered myself to be a moderate Democrat but now I’m probably considered a raging left wing lunatic according to Trumptards. We need to take the language back. We aren’t the radicals because what we want is what made the country great, the FDR New Deal and his basic rights. Democrats need to use the power they have to actually do what they have been promising for years. Fuck the republicans. No compromise! The most bold things Democrats can do is to undo everything that allowed this nightmare to happen, some of which happened with Reagan.

Totally agree with this. Unfortunately the dems are stuck in this centrist neoliberal mindset. We need radical progressive change in this country.
