Smells great. Brings back memories when I was very young helping clean out my grandfather's shed. He was an avid fisherman and had a huge hemp fishing net that weighed more then I could lift. The entire garage smelled like that net.
I always hear that smells make great memories. I have little to no sense of smell so I don't have those.
@JonnaBononna The sense of smell is supposedly so basic, and ancient, within the brain, that it can trigger all sorts of memories.
@BirdMan1 I am an extremely picky eater, and I'm more than sure that's related to my lack of a sense of smell. Most things I don't eat have more to do with texture than flavor.
@JonnaBononna The brain is remarkable. With a reduced sense of smell, I wonder if your brain has re-allocated those memory triggers to other senses? You may be more memory aware based on others stimuli then others. I was also a very picky eater and shared your dislike of some foods based on texture. Over the years, food textures are no longer as significant a factor in selecting food. I now I pay more attention to the nutrient quality of food.
