He was one of only 13 MEP’s who voted against the EU Motion of condemnation at the Russian invasion of Ukraine ….637 MEP’s voted in favour. The Irish Times took a poll of his constituents in Ireland, and a majority said he was wrong not to support the motion .

Being against the majority doesn't mean you are wrong…
@Krish55 No…but I’m pointing out that at home in Ireland he’s known as someone who has a reputation for relishing taking an opposing point of view to the majority as a matter of principle, but not necessarily due to any real conviction.
