This is how they frame the discussions...it is known that the real decisions are taken somewhere far away from the white house &congress...All politicians without exeptions are merely mediocre at best...when they say "system" it only means no one will be hold responsible and face consequences...

What we need is a paradigm shift some singularity of creative destruction that completely undoes the existing system. An example would be Molecular nanotechnology or the traditional super AI.

I'm with you, Krysia. Scrapping capitalism by no means means automatic Eutopia. Neither capitalism no socialism exist in any pure form. They are idealistic theories, but in practice neither can exist entirely without elements of the other. They collapse under the weight of their own weaknesses.
Personally, I have bean most impressed by Scandinavian modern society, but these are absolutely a blend of socialism and capitalism. They did not develop by sweeping revolution; rather, by socially conscious democratic evolution.
@MikeInBatonRouge Scandivavian Socialism is what I favor also.
