Reading about Teddy's square deal and all the advancement in workers rights from the early 1900s. Anyone pinpoint when everything peaked and started heading back downward? Guessing in the 60s, but looking for what changed or triggered it...

Nixon, then Reagan. Ike was the last progressive Republican, and LBJ the last progressive Democrat.
LBJ was not a progressive - He was just finishing what Kennedy started. His support of the Viet Nam war was not part of any progressive movement.
@SageDave LBJ implemented the Great Society programs, over the objections of Southern Democrats, Vietnam was begun under Ike, intesified under Kennedy, nearly finished under Johnson and would have ended in 1968 had Nixon not intervened with the NV in what can only be called treason by promising the NV a bette deal if they would not sign a treaty with Johnson. Medicare was the brainchild ofg LBJ, passage of the Civil Rights Act, Voting Rights Act and others would never have been passed under Kennedy, he tried and failed. To denigrate LBJ over one aspect of his presidency tells me that you are not a student of history.
had guess would say early 70s thats win rich got richer and never looked back right. browsed only , but free market must have checks and balances
Not sure the key point or peak. The sledge hammer finished off so much and set everything back decades or more under Ronnie "McDonald" Raygun.
