I would not think the super-wealthy so awful if poverty weren't so dangerous. We (in the U.S.) really need a few social supports, and desperately. For starters: Universal healthcare, subsidized daycare, free quality education--including college, realible transit systems in every town, not just metropolices, REAL environmental protection, no more sales tax on food, and well-funded community-based policing. But where, oh where, will we get the money for these "luxuries"??? Oh yeah, right. Tax those robber barons!! ....and maybe mandate preportional employee compensation guidelines to all large corporations, while we're at it.
They may leave a bitter taste in your mouth but it just might be time to eat the rich.
