I think the greatest fear of the single-payer health care for all is the hundreds of thousands of jobs that will be lost in the insurance business. So they send lobbyists to D.C. who push $$ into politicians pockets to keep supporting our outmoded system.

@dan325, @Robecology health insurance co. and pharma are the 2 biggest lobbyist in dc. not even close. oil defense contractors everything in between looks like pennies compared to the top 2. they are so powerful and rich from creating pain and misery= murika

@Robecology those 2 spend way more then everyone else, that's a fact.When looking at individual companies within the pharmaceutical and health sector, the price tag is even higher. As of October 24, 2018, individual companies spent $194.3 million on lobbying, far above the amount quoted by PhRMA. [2]
