What the world needs now... first up as some gentle medicine, is another Roosevelt with the levelling philosophy of Teddy and Franklin undiluted. With someone like middle-of-the-road, keeping-the-status-quo Joe Biden so far ahead of Bernie Sanders in the preference polls, probably a return of some genuinely progressive soul might lead even the Democrats to thoughts of crucififying any true prophet.

The congressional pastime of giving the tax money to the rich over and over is the cause of this situation. It is not the entitlement programs, not Social Security (we paid into it), not bad roads. It is giving away everything to super rich people that do not need socialist.programs. That is the cause of the lack of money. There is plenty of money. It is just in the wrong pockets

I totally agree with you. My post was aimed more at the idea that everyone wants their pet projects to get funded but not yours. Farmers love farm subsidies but most of them don't like other spending.
