It isn't about whether or not it was legal, in my opinion, it is about the whys and what are the intentions. We all saw that less rioting occurred when the police, etc DEESCALATED.

Totally agree. Deescalation is an essential tactic that is ignored far too often. The police tend to do the opposite and then there is an angry response form the people and they get labeled as dangerous terrorist when really they are having a natural human response to injustice and danger.
