This what happens when facts are replaced with feelings?
We are continually told
People are entitled to, freedom of speech and expression, their own opinions, beliefs, and those rights should be respected
NO!
NOT WHEN an opinion is a lie that the speaker happens to want to be true, a belief is not an expedient lie some one wants to benefit from.
Free speech is not a cover for criminal confidence tricks, freedom of expression does not cover insurrection and political and religious malfeasance
What is said and done is only worthy of respect if it is respectable
What has been forgotten by the people is that freedom is theirs for protection of truth, of positively of the greater good and for protection from exploitation, oppression and the devaluation of life.
When freedom is used to exploit and to harm it is no longer freedom, it dirties freedom as a word and corrupts the concept, making freedom seem a bad thing, something to be done away with for a better tomorrow.
When freedom is taken away the ONLY alternative is Oppression.
AMERICAN, THE UK, THE WORLD, NEEDS TO REMEMBER THIS! They need to see this is what they have sleep walked in to. Freedom is not all things to all people, it is to be earned and to be used for the good by the good as defined by the results of positive action. Nonetheless it also still needs to be vigilantly guarded and protected, not given out willy nilly like the poison candy from a perverts pocket in a school yard meant to lure in and corrupt the innocent, gullible and well meaning.
