I strongly suspect that most good poker players have a significant proportion of introverted characteristics. I think at least 60% of consistent plus players have a moderately pronounced introverted personality.

Non-introverts, I believe, have probably been able to overcome features of their personality that work against them in poker. They manage, monitor, suppress, and direct their temperament in such a way as to be successful players at the table. And it most likely takes a great deal of effort, energy, and discipline for them to do so.
My main contention is that there is presumably a type of personality with an innate ability to win at poker. Its natural qualities contribute to a serious game of poker. This player can focus all of his energy on thinking through situations. Not every player can do this and mainly because of their temperament.

I guess Scrabble. My mother and I take each other on every few weeks. I like games, but I play them with close friends and family so my introversion doesn't really come into play with them.
