So, do introverts have friends that are also introverts, and do you ever sit around and discuss your ...introvert-ness...introvert-ism... with them? I am 60, and have been rather introverted for at least most of my adult life (I am not sure if I was in my youth) but I have never discussed my "condition" with anyone else, ever, that I can remember. And I am honestly not sure if I have ever had friends who were introverts. Surely I have...?

Once an introvert, always an introvert, although introverts can be good at displaying extroverted behavior. We just have to make more of an effort. I've always gotten in trouble by being attracted to opposites. It's good in the beginning but comes back to bite you in the ass sooner or later. I should be happy with my
"own kind," but they usually bored me. My loss.

That is very true. I was a sales rep for the last 15 years of my work life and I had to be "on" all the time. I did really well, partially because there was no social risk involved. It was just business. But what gave me the most trepidation were the times when I was invited to a client's retirement party or bridal shower. Ugh. Other than that I could fake extroversion pretty well.

You know, not really until I went to college - I have one friend i met back in college who may be more introverted than I am, so we have what we refer to as "introvert parties" in which we're the only ones invited, we talk some, but we've also been known to sit and draw/craft or read and not talk at all for an hour or two. It really weirds her husband out sometimes when he's there, but we think it's great.

I have friends of both varieties but it is not something we discuss. I somehow have the feeling it would be a bit pushy to discuss it. A bit too confessional.

Most of my friendly aquantences are extroverts . I never really had a discussion about being introverted other than I don't like large gatherings of humans and am not into small talk .

My 2 house mates are introverts. We hardly see each other & we all get it as to why.

My cousin and I discuss it. We kind of validate each other about situations we find ourself in.

I think there are degrees and also many have passed through various stages in their lives. At 60 I'm less introverted than I was say 10 years ago and much less introverted than I was 20 years ago.

Being an introvert is not shameful! Discuss it like you would anything else. I do have extroverted friends and they tire me out sometimes. My introverted friends are much easier to be around but in the end I still need my solitude to recharge my own energy.

Yes, we have introverted friends. Is it a condition? Not sure. Extroverted is, but intro..... hmmmm lol

My best friend since childhood is at least as introverted as I am. In high school, we kind of joined forces to share the pressure of being in a mostly outgoing group of friends. If it was just the two of us on a Friday night, we usually ended up staying in and playing video games and not much else.

I think the reason we remain such good friends, even though we live a thousand miles apart, is that we've always been comfortable not talking. Even when we get together after a year, we usually end up not talking much unless there's something to say.

That being said, I don't think we've ever discussed it. It just is what it is.

Is being an introvert a condition? I have friends who are introverts, but we mostly sit around and play music or watch movies. Sometimes someone will make a joke about going to a party, but we don't really have discussions about being introverts.

"Is being an introvert a condition?" I don't know, that is why I put it in quotes.
But honestly, it often feels like a "condition" to me 😟
