When someone calls me and very apologetically says they have to cancel our meeting or lunch or dinner plans, and keeps apologizing profusely, I just want to say "THANK YOU FOR CANCELING"
I had one friend who was always late. I'd be pulling into the parking lot of the place where we were supposed to meet and I'd get the call that she was running 5 or 10 minutes behind and she'd show up half an hour later with some lame excuse... like she had to wash her hair five minutes before we were supposed to meet. People who are chronically late drive me nuts. I am so obsessively early that if I'm on time I think I'm late.
@Bierbasstard See I don't get that. If you know you have to be somewhere at a certain time, then you know when you have to leave to me there on time. What's the big deal?
@Bierbasstard I actually moved on to other friends who are more considerate. Being late, almost intentionally is just rude.
I have a friend who cancels 2 out of every 3 times we make plans. It always makes my day!
Grrrrr!
