I hate to admit this is kind of true for me. I've had a couple of long distance relationships in the past, and even though I was well aware of all the pitfalls of long distance relationships and told myself I didn't need to pursue another one, I think there was some underlying psychological need to have a connection with someone, but still keep them at a distance. I'm not doing much internet dating any more, but when I was, I tried to be more honest with myself about that tendency and tried not to let myself get sucked into anything long distance again.
Rather like some humans .
I was thinking the same thing. Like that country song: "How can I miss you if you won't go away?"
