Anybody else secretly rejoice when meetings or social events are canceled? There's always this huge sense of relief.
Doesn't really fit with trying to grow my business, but we do what we can I guess.

The sense of relief is usually highest the closer the cancellation comes to the event time, too.

I'm training myself to notice the real pleasure I feel in being with people I trust, a few at a time, in moderate doses. I do in fact like some people, even clients, and sometimes enjoy company. But it's a process.

I feel your pain brother.

That can often be the case, though there are other times when I had dreaded going and found I actually enjoyed the outing. Depends on people and context.

Social events are a double edged sword for me. I enjoy some things about them, but dread before and have relief when they are over.

That is often the same for me.

Yes and I even talk myself into attending the ones where my absence would offend or hurt someone. Though a quiet one to one meet or conversation is often welcome.
