Merriam Webster defines "introversion" several ways. By the way, does it bother anyone else when introverts are described as "shy"? I'm not shy. I just don't want to be bothered.

Being alone and feeling alone to me are different. How do you combat the feeling of being alone even when you are with someone? Are we hardwired or programed to feel alone?

While I crave social interaction, I find it (usually) quite draining. I often wonder if it drains the other. I wonder how obvious the succ is.

By itself, being an introvert is NOT a problem, however, being lonely IS!

Oh, boy, this is classic: I noticed the chatrooms for the first time tonight, and I hovered over the one for introverts. "1 person chatting" Well. Yeah.

Why I don't use turn signals? Because I don't want anyone knowing where I'm going.

Are any of you perceived to be outgoing? My friendly personality gives people the impression that I am outgoing.

When others don't understand your introverted ways it benefits you to know, love and except yourself.
