How many people in your world seem shocked to find out you're an introvert? They all seem to have the same reaction: "But you're so friendly! I thought you liked people" I am friendly, and I don't dislike people. I just don't like when they talk...

I am hiding/spending inordinately long time in bathroom to avoid continuing to fake social interaction at another function with my spouse. No one will miss me, nor do I care. I probably could drive home, hangout a while, and drive back and resume ...

I wish I would have known to do this when I was younger. It would have saved me a lot of grief.

When someone calls me and very apologetically says they have to cancel our meeting or lunch or dinner plans, and keeps apologizing profusely, I just want to say "THANK YOU FOR CANCELING"

I often have the impression I'm having a hard time to fit in. Whether I'm too fool for the wise or too wise for the fools. I often wonder if there's a place for me somewhere in this world. Then, I realized that my place in this world is in my shoes!
