Growing a few weeds in my garden. This is the common Orange Hawkweed, Hieracium aurantiacum, or Fox and Cubs, for obvious reasons. It may only be a wild weed, but it does make a show.

I am glad that Wasilla banned plastic grocery bags... but what do you do with all of the paper sacks that you saved? I put them down in my garden and cover with mulch for weed control. This is my Gooseberry bed.

From 1999 to 2015 my organic veggies at Brook Glen Farm kept me healthy and happy. Those tall wooden triangles are my tomato cages. The tax man took it all.

Veggie seedlings in my greenhouse with a space heater at night. Still too cold to plant outside. It was 32 at my house last Tuesday night.

Day 13! I went out to take a picture..... chicks gone! I sat on the verandah and quietly observed where the parents went. Chicks are "kind of" able to fly. Parents still feeding them.

My simple stone trough of Alpine Phlox, gives all its worth at this time of year.
