The garlic mustard is just coming into flower in the rough hedge bottom adjoining my neighbors field. It is a very common weed in the UK, but I like the very neat geometric arrangement of the leaves (see photo) and the heads of white flowers. It also has a lot of history, is edible and found in America, but the young man in the video explains it better.
Wah! This is something we don't see in the Pacific Northwest, but very interesting information.
Cooking tips please? Blanch & saute, or steam, or chop finely & use raw...? And put on or in what?
Chopped fine in mixed salads, or added to soups and pies etc. as a green garlic flavour leaf.
