Last (maybe) "rescue" plant saved from the Lowes dumpster line. Weigela. Has dark red foliage and produces tiny "Trumpet Vine" like flowers. Hummingbird & butterfly attractor.
Planted two hours before squall line arrived dumping .22 inches of rain. Perfect!

The flowers are not that tiny, in fact quite good.

I love weigela! My neighbor has one and keep trimming it back about the time it is supposed to bloom. Irks the heck out of me, but what can ya do. Good job in getting mother nature to do your watering.

Looks to be in very good condition for a rescue plant. How big does it grow?

Five feet wide by five feet tall.

@bigpawbullets medium.

@FrayedBear
Thats about the maximum size we want for where I planted it.....

@bigpawbullets good choice particularly for benefits for the buck!
