I'm all for things that work. If I ever get anything to finally set, I may have to try this. Any idea if it works on squirrels?
Doubtful. Not much works on squirrels.
Squirrels hate cinnamon! Sprinkle it around planters, garden plants, anything the squirrels mess with, and they will leave it alone.
@tinkercreek that true squirrels dislike cinnamon i learnt that from mom
This trick always worked for me with my strawberry bed. I had such beautiful strawberries but the birds always got them until I started doing this with the rocks. It really does work!
But strawberries spread and multiply, right? So do you have to thin them in order for the rocks to remain visible to the birds?
@MsKathleen my beds were 3 feet by 6 feet and I did keep them cleaned up and more manageable. I also would use little cups upside down to put the rocks on so they were more visible.
@Redheadedgammy great idea!
