I hadn’t seen to the garden in over a week and it was a mess. I tore out the rest of the dried out lettuces and spinach, picked the tomatoes and the beets, and watered the survivors. Don’t know if the tomatoes will make it...there are no new blossoms. The leeks are good, the red and orange sweet bell peppers are a lost cause, but the jalapeños are okay. The celery plants look okay. If I am up to it tomorrow, I will plant more lettuce and spinach, beets and maybe some carrots. There is still time for a second crop, if I get right on it.

Gardens are worse than cats, pay too much attention to them and they sulk but neglect them and they fade away. The tomatoes will probably take a little time to bounce back but don't give up on them.

Obviously, your plants missed you.

@MissKathleen So you're their water girl.
