Mine are still a month out and I still have some in my freezer from last year. We used to have the sweetest old sow bear who would sit right in the brambles and eat them. We've had a couple of generations since but they are much more timid and it's rare to even see tracks.

I have an endless supply. They're an invasive species here, the Himalaya cultivar. I'm on the edge of the woods where there are acres and acres. I'm hoping for stretch of dry weather. It concentrates the flavor, too much moisture and they get flabby.

Up here in Wisconsin we soak them in brandy...inexpensive brandy. Then you mix a little ginger ale or white soda in there to make a yummy cocktail.

I just found a patch on my walk today...plan to stop back with a bucket in a few days and start gathering these black cap raspberries at one of our local parks. Free!
