This Red Robin cherry tomato is 1 year old and still producing tomatoes. I keep the branches tied up to prevent breaking but I am running out of room - Ha!

I found these bulbs on Amazon - for about $20 - they are not very powerful but they seem to help and I hang my pot in a sunny window. [amazon.com]

Yes - it is really just a cheap low powered light.

@FrostyJim Is the light on all the time or do you switch it off at night?

@Jolanta - it is on a timer and I set it for 16 hours per day.

It never occurred to me that tomatoes could keep producing given a temperate place to grow. Learn something new every day! Maybe the next time I grow tomatoes I'll bring them in for the Winter!

Of course fresh ripe home grown tomatoes are always delicious. It is still producing blossoms and more small green tomatoes... but they are hard to see in the photo.

Still setting fruit...
