Snapped this photo today between rain showers. My humble little bungalow has only got something close to full sun(7 hrs per day) in this central space of the small front yard. The much larger back yard is understory meadow, shaded by 5 oak trees....

Its the hight of the tree blossom season here now. The apple blossom is especially good this year nearly making the branches droop with the weight. The Acer is not bad either.

While out on a walk this morning I came across this huge yuca. At least I think that what it is! 🤣 The huge flower stalk is amazing!!! We have been getting more rain here than usual, so I think that’s what helped it bloom.

The weather is warm enough... so garden season begins in Wasilla Alaska! Bought some sphagnum peat grow mix and cleaning up my perennial flower beds... the next few weeks will be very busy.

The Honeysuckle which grows at the end of my drive, here in the photos against my neighbor's cottage across the road is a complete accident, planted by no one that we know of. Yet it scents half the village on a warm night, it is so powerful.
