I know these aren’t plants or trees but they are going to be the main form of pest control in my food forest. I got this in text from my girlfriend today at work. I thought it was funny since she didn’t want them to start with.

As soon as I got off work I put my Chicago hardy fig in the ground.

Up date on my dragon fruit. They started getting mold on the paper towel so I took them out and put them in pots. Some are now sprouting.

Also got the Florida red sorrel or Roselle planted today.

Recycle re-purpose and reuse. Planted Everglade tomatoes,Oriental long beans, Livingston sure crop beans, Seminol squash and Armenian cucumber. All planted around my son’s swing set that he has out grown.

8 more pineapples planted. I know it only looks like 6 but I planted 2 in with the older plants.

Got the strawberry tree, 3 mangoes, the soursap, and the Southern Home grape vine planted and quite a few more ready for planting just ran out of time. The rain really set us back.

This is why I’m planting in tires. I need to dig a couple pond drainage ditches and build some mounds. This is after a 3 hr rain. We cut over a dozen tires and placed out for planting when we got rained out. Now it stoped time to get back at it

Two different nursery today picked up a strawberry tree, Red Roselle, large leaf moringa tree, a southern home grape vine and a dwarf ever bearing Mulberry tree.

I would like to start up a seed and cutting exchange. Maybe even do live plants. I’m just throwing this out there but maybe once a month have a tread where people can post what they have to trade and people that are interested can rely that they ...

Attempting To grow dragon fruit from seed

A friend gave us 2 Everglades Tomato cuttings. Can’t wait for these Beauties to take off. They will grow wild in Florida and is considered a perennial here. These things will grow in the poorest of Florida’s sandy soil.

Planted some sweet potatoes slips we grow. Trying to see if we will have any luck in the tires.
