I know these aren’t plants or trees but they are going to be the main form of pest control in my food forest. I got this in text from my girlfriend today at work. I thought it was funny since she didn’t want them to start with.

Recycle re-purpose and reuse. Planted Everglade tomatoes,Oriental long beans, Livingston sure crop beans, Seminol squash and Armenian cucumber. All planted around my son’s swing set that he has out grown.

Got the strawberry tree, 3 mangoes, the soursap, and the Southern Home grape vine planted and quite a few more ready for planting just ran out of time. The rain really set us back.

This is why I’m planting in tires. I need to dig a couple pond drainage ditches and build some mounds. This is after a 3 hr rain. We cut over a dozen tires and placed out for planting when we got rained out. Now it stoped time to get back at it

A friend gave us 2 Everglades Tomato cuttings. Can’t wait for these Beauties to take off. They will grow wild in Florida and is considered a perennial here. These things will grow in the poorest of Florida’s sandy soil.
