Took the tiny humans out over the weekend to visit some different gardens in our neighborhood. We got to see some of the early spring beauties and meet the neighbors. Made friends with some cats and a dog too so not a bad weekend at all. ?

Picked 9 1/2 lbs of Raspberries today - still more to ripen - looks like some Raspberry wine will be made... I will wash and freeze them on sheet pans and then pack in vacuum bags for freezer storage until I finish with the harvest.

Growing a few weeds in my garden. This is the common Orange Hawkweed, Hieracium aurantiacum, or Fox and Cubs, for obvious reasons. It may only be a wild weed, but it does make a show.

It is berry season in my Zone 4A Alaska garden. Raspberry bushes are loaded and Gooseberries will be ready soon. Time to make jam and maybe some country wine too!

We have strong gale force winds today, it will be a shame if all the colour goes from the Ginkgo before it really reaches its peak, but there will be next year perhaps, and so far so good.
