The family who star in this video are mostly living off the land on a city lot, 1/4 acre, in Australia. I hope to make a similar garden.

Can anyone identify these? This is an old root that sprouts new shoots yearly. I'm in North Florida, and we have indigenous onion and garlic, but not sure if these are one of those or if they are a toxic Lily that looks very similar. Plz help.
